Having a good time here in Williams Arizona, on the famous (and now historic) route 66. We are getting our kicks at the Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon, Painted Desert and other beautiful natural wonders.

The weather is unreal! We are experiencing 28 degrees every morning and every night. The wind is strong and freezing cold and whips in from out of nowhere. My toes are not happy in flip flops!

We are off to Vegas this afternoon via the Hoover Dam bottleneck, I mean dam. Perhaps we’ll take the tour, Hmmm… we’ll decide when we get there, we are on vacation!!

Alan and I are doing lots of laughing and lots of picture taking. We are absorbing it all and it feels great.

This time in March 2007, I was in the beautiful country of Kenya visiting artisans. Alan and his Dad were feverishly trying to erect a deck in the backyard and finish it before my return, (its beautiful by the way). In the news, the movie 300 was on top, Oprah released her Secret (I’ve heard about this need to read into it), of course SXSW 2007 was in full swing.

Now its 2008 and SXSW is in full swing again, Alan is piquing my interests on a few bands playing in town. Ever heard of Vampire Weekend? They actually played on SNL this past Saturday. I think they are high on his list of must sees.

I missed many of the blooms last year, but am making up for lost time this year. The pear tree is blooming and many of the bushes that I havent figured out their name. We planted a garden (corn, green beans, herbs and tomatoes) they are sprouting and trying to keep warm during this last cold snap.

A lot has changed and a lot has stayed the same-a great combination to me.

Its been a long time since I’ve updated the Bird Blog.

These are my excuses: December was hectic, January was not much better. This is all work talk here. Been visiting San Antonio a lot lately for various reasons: birthdays, funerals. Reregistering to vote and keeping up with the political scene, thats a full time job. Entertaining house guests, making movies, raising a bunny- you know, the usual.

Alan and I have some major plans ahead of us this year and we have to figure out how to make it all happen: possible new car purchase, major backyard renovation plans, a trip to Spain, and hopefully the perfect new couch to complete our movie/living room if they would just order some more stock!

So I’ve been working on a bunny blog too and I am looking forward to posting some of the hilarious videos I have compiled. Bird flickr photos are updated, if you want to actually see what we have been doing. I’ve also uploaded some Africa pictures to a flickr page, so its easier to view my adventure.

So I rated our mythinger blogs today. Even with the web pimp skills, all of the hello kitty references and my dynamo movie making ability, we still received elementary school ratings. What?! Why? Maybe the web pimp can tell me what exactly this little program is looking for.

He’s just so cute! I found him on our street today and it ate the carrots I gave him (dont know if its a boy or girl). So now he’s in the cat carrier waiting for his owners to call. Dont know what to do if they dont see my signs or call…Can you have a backyard, pet bunny rabbit with 2 cats? Alan is probably ready to destroy me right now!

If anyone has any ideas let me know.
